Please take note of the new decree recently issued by the customs authorities. We would like to emphasize the importance of issuing banker's checks for settling your declarations going forward.

Decree

For amounts less than 1,000,000,000 LBP, cash payments will still be accepted at the customs office.

However, for amounts exceeding 1,000,000,000 LBP, it is mandatory to either issue a banker's check or deposit the amount directly at the central bank.

To ensure a smooth and timely completion of the formalities, we strongly recommend opting for the issuance of banker's checks from your end.

Alternatively, you have the option to send us the cash ahead of time so that we can deposit the amount in the bank and issue a banker's check on your behalf. However, please note that this option requires prior approval from the bank, which may take some time and is not guaranteed.
